I don't have many childhood memories of Joan, but one thing I do remember is her going in to the army and that she had a brenn gun. She sent me some of her target practice sheets which had holes all around the central spot. Not sure what happened to those! She was a good shot and even won a medal for her shooting skills. Although she had moved away, she never missed mine and Stephen's birthdays. She always sent us Christmas presents, usually a scarf and gloves, and birthday presents. One year she sent me a book for my birthday about horsedrawn vehicles. I loved it and really treasured it. Michael
