Auntie Joan, Such a lovely gentle lady you were, I will always remember how excited i used to get for my summer visits as a child, and then later when I decided I wanted to move to Welwyn you prepared a room and let me move in while I got settled. All the stories of the 'old' days that you'd tell me about you and my mum that were so entertaining and slightly different versions to my mums as you were that bit older. Those 2 little girls so close in the 1930s remained as close all your lives. Then when I'd visit you in later years your recollections still so vivid I'd listen and watch you, and then there would be a tilt of your head, a glance, something about you and for a second I'd see my mum again ! A sweeter lady I'm sure there is not. I will miss you Auntie Joan Yvonne xxx
